Pittsburgh, PA – April 2014

HDS employees Mary Jaber, Kelly Witzel and Tara Smith were among the estimated 4,000 people who participated in Walk MS:  Pittsburgh on April 12, 2014 to raise money and awareness for The National MS Society.  Mary, Kelly and Tara were members of TEAM JABER, formed to support Mary’s husband Ben who was diagnosed in 2009.

Beginning and ending in Point State Park, the 1-Mile route for Walk MS Pittsburgh took walkers in to Market Square and along Grant Street, Forbes Avenue, Stanwix Street and the Boulevard of the Allies.  Those who opted for the 5K route also touched the North Shore, walking across the Andy Warhol Bridge and back into downtown via the Roberto Clemente Bridge.

Walk MS connects people living with Multiple Sclerosis and those who care about them.  In participating, the funds raised give hope to the more the 7,500 people living with MS in our community.  The dollars raised support life-changing programs and cutting-edge research.  The event also raises awareness of the disease and hope to create a world free of MS.   For more information, please visit:  http://www.nationalmssociety.org or http://www.walkms.org.
